OUR STORY
Where Clinical Empathy Meets Intelligent Innovation
AllsWell wasn’t born in a corporate boardroom; it was born from a deep, frontline understanding of the delicate balance of aging and the modern reality of the “Sandwich Generation.”
For years, we have watched families struggle with the same impossible choice: how to be a dedicated, focused professional and a present, caring child at the same time. We saw the heavy toll of “Caregiver Guilt” that keeps you awake at night, wondering if a parent took their medication or if they are feeling isolated while you are trapped in back-to-back meetings.
We decided to build a bridge. One that doesn’t monitor or police your parents, but respectfully checks in on them.
THE HEART
18 Years of Clinical Authority
Our foundation is built on nearly two decades of clinical experience at the front lines of elder care.
Our co-founder, Ortal, holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Gerontology (the specialized study of aging). Over the past 18 years, Ortal has designed and managed care programs for independent, frail, and dementia-diagnosed seniors in specialized day centers, directed social services in skilled nursing facilities, and conducted home assessments for homebound Holocaust survivors to pair them with community support.
Through this deep clinical journey, Ortal identified a dangerous pattern we call the Surveillance Trap:
“Our natural instinct as loving children is to protect our parents. But well-meaning security measures, such as placing cameras in their living rooms, forcing them to wear tracker tags, or demanding they strap on panic buttons, often backfire psychologically. It strips away their autonomy, sending a loud, daily message that they are no longer capable of keeping themselves safe.
I have seen seniors actively rebel against this loss of dignity by taking off tracking bands to prove ‘I can do this,’ or even climbing ladders to disable cameras. Surveillance breeds stress and paranoia, not safety. Seniors don’t want to be watched; they want to be respected.”
This profound insight shapes every piece of AllsWell’s conversational architecture.
Our voice concierge is built to respect boundaries. For example, when it comes to medication reminders, AllsWell never negotiates or nags. We do not enter into power struggles that create friction or make your parent resent the system. Instead, we simply ask, listen, and immediately pass the data back to you, protecting your peace of mind while keeping the AI’s relationship with your parent entirely warm, positive, and dignified.
THE BRAIN
Privacy-First AI Designed for Human Connection
To turn Ortal’s clinical framework into a seamless, daily reality, we integrated state-of-the-art, voice-native AI development.
Co-founded by Ilan, an AI systems expert, our technology is engineered to solve the complex technical challenges of speaking with older adults. Legacy voice systems are impatient; they cut off users who speak slowly or pause to gather their thoughts.
Our custom conversation model is built with advanced, low-latency pause detection and conversational patience. It listens actively, adapts to slower vocal cadences, and maintains a natural, warm rhythm that feels like a polite check-in from a premium hotel butler, rather than a robotic “robo-call.”
Most importantly, our technology is built on a Privacy-First Shield. We believe our parents’ homes are sacred. Conversations are encrypted, secure, and fully protected, ensuring your family’s daily routine remains completely private.
OUR MISSION
Go Back to Being Their Child
To eliminate the emotional distance between you and your loved ones. We believe that technology should never replace human connection, but it should certainly protect it.
By handling the daily routine checks and medication self-reports, we free you from the constant anxiety of the “to-do list” so that when you do pick up the phone to call your parent, you can focus on what matters most: simply being a daughter, a son, or a friend.
